About this project

What does NDL ExpandedGrowth (Mushroom Growth Module) add?

About Module:
This is the mushroom growth module for the Expanded Growth mod series. This module adds a method for growing mushrooms

Adds:
     - Mushroom Troughs (Block)
     - Mushroom Spores (Items)

How To Guides: (Also in the handbook in game, just search NDL or NDL-ExpandedGrowth!)

Basic Use Guide

To Use:
     - Gather Mushroom Spores by Breaking Mushrooms in your world
          - There is a 5% drop rate on all wild mushrooms

     - Craft a "Mushroom Trough"
          - 4 planks 1 nail (see handbook recipe)

     - Place the "Mushroom Trough" down
          - Depending on the type of spore you are trying to go you will either need to place it on the Ground or Wall

     - Add a SOIL block to the "Mushroom Trough" to get a "Mushroom Trough" filled with dirt
          - Any type of soil will work (low, med, high, terra pretta)
          - Soil type WILL effect the time it takes for mushrooms to grow!

     - Now add your Mushroom Spores to the Dirt filled "Mushroom Trough"
          - Now wait the required days for the mushrooms to grow!

     - Once grown you will need to harvest them with a Knife (just right click with the knife on the trough)
          - This will set it back to the "Mushroom Trough" with spores in it and the growth process will start over again!

General Information:
     - Mushrooms harvested from the Mushroom Trough give a 10% drop chance for spores
     - If you break a spored trough you will NOT get your spores back
     - Spores are MENT to be rare and hard to obtain
     - The "Mushroom Trough" can be converted back to a normal trough by placing it back in the crafting grid!
     - Soil type will effect the growth rate of the spores
          - Barren Fertility: 20 days
          - Low Fertility: 15 days
          - Medium Fertility: 13 days
          - High Fertility: 8 days
          - Terra Preta: 5 days
         - If you place the troughs in a cellar you get a 2 day bonus off the fertility amounts shown!

Notes:
     - I forgot to update the handbook guide to remove the cellar requirement
          - Just to reiterate - the cellar requirement is NOT in the mod anymore!!!!

FAQ:

FAQ
Can you add compatability for XYZ mod?
- No, due to having to make trough models for each mushroom type I personally will only make vanilla working troughs, its a lot of work to make the models for other mods that might not get updated to new versions of the game

Can you provide the source code?
- No, I choose not to provide the source code to prevent tweaks/patched versions of my mod from appearing on the site. I want to  avoid getting questions on issues related to them and also I don't like the idea of someone taking my mod for themselves and publishing it.

Can I fork your mod?
- No

Can you add xyz config option?
- You can request and I can consider it but no gurantees
