Dual-Variant Ecosystem New Variant

Introduces dedicated Green Bamboo Stakes that drop directly when cutting wild green bamboo culms, preventing them from automatically drying into brown variants. Both types retain their unique visuals through all crafting steps.

Upgraded Chests & Trunks Expanded Storage

Construct beautiful bamboo containers with either variant. To reward your southern travels, all bamboo chests and trunks possess a slight upgrade in inventory capacity over traditional vanilla storage solutions.

Atmospheric Bamboo Lanterns

Cast a warm, organic glow across your homestead with specialized lighting setups crafted from lightweight bamboo elements.

1. Finish all green variants of the vanilla bamboo objects.
2. Add new exciting items made of bamboo, and add some advantages to them.
3. Improve the Lantern texture.

⚠️ Attention

You can make the green variants of the bamboo by substituting the vanilla brown stakes in the recipes. All recipes are fully indexed and viewable inside the native in-game Handbook!

A Note on Mod Development

Some of the code in this mod was written with the help of AI tools, but this is far from a "vibe-coded" project. As a developer, I have invested hours of my own life orchestrating, analyzing, and directing this implementation. Every line of code, recipe modification, and asset patch was carefully designed, verified, and heavily tested in-game to meet the high standards of how this mod should look, feel, and behave.

This process has been an incredible learning experience for me. I am constantly diving deep into Vintage Story's modding patterns, and I am completely open to feedback! If you are a more experienced developer, please feel free to inspect the codebase directly on GitHub and suggest improvements or best practices.
