About this project

What does Locust Harvest add?

Ever cleared out a locust nest and felt cheated by the pile of metal husks rotting on the ground? I have and it's a big part of why I used to hate fighting them. Locust Harvest turns those kills into actual loot.

What it does
- Killing a locust now drops a pickable salvage item, and each variant gives its own metal:
- Bronze locusts → Dead Locust → smelts to tin bronze
- Corrupt locusts → Dead Corrupt Locust → smelts to black bronze
- Corrupt-sawblade locusts → Dead Sawblade Locust → craft 5 into Iron Bloom
- Toss them into a crucible and smelt them down, Its 5 salvage items per ingot(100ml).
- Locust carcasses now decay after about 5 minutes instead of cluttering your world for 24 in-game hours, just long enough that a Clockmaker can still revive them if they want.

Why you want it
Locusts stop being a pure nuisance and become a renewable (if modest) source of metal handy for early-game tools without leaving corpse clutter behind.

Compatibility
- For Vintage Story 1.22.3+.
- Server-side drop changes; safe to add to an existing world.

If you hit any bugs, let me know in the comments and I'll fix them asap! (Sorry for the screenshots and mod photo - I'm new to this, haha.)
