Mention

Talking in chat is fine.
Making sure the right person sees it isn’t.

Mention lets you tag players using @(Username) just like you would on other platforms, giving Hytale servers and worlds a simple but powerful QOL feature that honestly should’ve been there by default.

No more “did you see my message?”
No more repeating yourself in global chat.
Just @ and they’ll know.

What this mod adds

• Tag any online player using @(Username) or first 3 characters
• Highlighted mention message so it stands out in chat (standalone only)
• Custom notification sound when you’re mentioned
• Fully editable features such as pitch, volume and sound via config
• Change the colour of mention messages by hexcode
• Disable/enable sounds if you don’t want them
• Works on servers and singleplayer with friends
• Works with mods like Elite Essentials and Essentials Core

Why I made this

Most modern games and platform has mentions now. Hytale chat can get busy fast and are quite plain, especially on bigger servers, and messages aimed at specific people just disappear in the flow.

I wanted something clean, simple, and familiar just like the @Mention plugin that everyone knows and loves on Minecraft people used for years.

Customisation

• Change the notify colour to match your style
• Turn mention sounds on or off with /mention mute
• Server owners can tweak defaults for everyone

Current state

The mod is fully functional right now and ready to use on both servers and local worlds with friends. Mentions trigger correctly, notifications work, and all personal settings save properly.
