🧤 Auto Pickup Glove — SimpleEnchantments Addon

Auto Pickup Glove is an addon for Hytale servers that adds a single Legendary enchantment to the Simple Enchantments system. Equip gloves enchanted with Auto Pickup and every item dropped from blocks you break or mobs you kill will be automatically transferred directly into your inventory — no need to walk over drops.

This is an addon in the SimpleEnchantments series, following NPC Slayer Enchantments and Frost Mastery. While Slayer focuses on combat bonuses and Frost Mastery on environmental ice magic, Auto Pickup Glove introduces a quality-of-life utility enchantment for gloves.

✨ Enchantment

🧤 Auto Pickup — `Legendary`

While wearing gloves enchanted with Auto Pickup, any item that spawns from a block you break or a mob you kill is automatically transferred to your inventory. If your inventory is full, the item stays in the world as normal.

⚙️ How It Works

When a block is broken or a mob is killed, the plugin records the player responsible and the position of the event. When an item entity spawns nearby, the system checks whether the attributed player has the Auto Pickup enchantment active on their gloves. If so, the item is immediately transferred to the player's inventory (hotbar first). Partial pickups are supported — if only part of the stack fits, the remainder stays in the world.

The enchantment state is tracked per-player via an armor slot change listener: the moment you equip or unequip the gloves, the effect activates or deactivates instantly.

🛠️ Compatibility

Works alongside other equipment enchantments (Frost Walker, Slayer, etc.)
Does not interfere with normal item drops if the player is not the attributed breaker/killer
Creative mode behavior follows the server's standard item pickup rules
