What does Simple Item Displays add?
Simple Item Displays
Simple Item Displays is a mod that currently adds functional flowerpots and item frames to Hytale, with more to come.
Currently adds
- 9 unique Flowerpot blocks matching the vanilla jars and pots
- 1 unique Balcony planter block currently in 'tavern' set variant
- Item frame block with fine-tuned display transformation that renders most attached blocks correctly in the center
- Small display case and Large display case to display resources in a glass case (models by SigynLaufeyson)
- Weapon display case Experimental! (model by SigynLaufeyson)
Crafting
- Clay Flowerpot: 3x Clay, 1x Dirt (other variants are obtained by using the hammer on a flowerpot)
- Tavern balcony planter: 1x Hardwood Planks, 1x Dirt
- Item Frame: 4x Sticks, 1x Medium Leather
- Small display case: 1x Hardwood Plank Slab, 1x any Sand
- Large display case: 1x Hardwood Plank Slab, 2x any Sand
- Weapon display case: 2x Hardwood Planks, 2x any Sand
Planned features
- More variants of balcony planters
- Hanging/wall flowerpot models to support alternative placement
- Display plates to allow "direct" placement of items on shelves and other surfaces
- Display barrels, display crates for fancy fruit boxes and whatnot
Disclaimer
I've spent an embarrassingly large amount of time trying to make the item frame display position best I can, but it still doesn't work for larger multi-blocks. Currently it works for most blocks, while tools and weapons are currently getting worked on.
