About this project
What does TreeReplanter add?
TreeReplanter (for 0.6.x releases)
This plugin turns the remaining roots into some dirt or whatever else is surrounding the tree and places a sapling after chopping it down while crouching. This will keep your forests growing instead of disappearing slowly over time.
The first trunk block you hit will be taken as "ground" and the sapling will be placed at same height. So think twice where you hit the trunk - especially in uneven terrain!
The plugin is far from beeing perfect, but it works for most trees.
Hint: Break all trunk blocks on the same height as the first one until the tree is completely separated from the ground. That's it, have fun!
No saplings for:
burnt trees: These have no saplings in game, they wouldn't grow anyway, because they are dead.
palm trees: They don't give trunks anyway, because their trunks are only stacked branches atm.
(Palm tree trunks aka GoldenWood as needed to tear up farmer's workbench can only be found in dessert chests atm.)
fir trees: In real life they would grow out of pine cones I think. These can be found in some biomes, but we can't use them for anything in the game yet, so we will have to wait until the Hytale devs do something with them.
Known issues:
Gumboab trees: Small and medium-sized trees now work as expected. The fat ones require special processing, which will be added in a later update. - On the other hand, the gigantic gumboab trees will very rarely grow back to such a stately size, so perhaps it's better to leave them standing anyway...
Bottle trees: these perfectly hide their BlockBreakEvent. - Will try to fix this.
Other:
This plugin is free for all! No one is allowed to charge money for this in any way. Also don't share the file anywhere else than here or in the game mod browser.
