Kubo's BetterUI

A dark, minimal client-side UI enhancement mod for Minecraft Fabric.
No gameplay changes — purely visual upgrades to make your interface cleaner and more informative.

FEATURES

Compass
A sleek dark compass bar at the top of the screen showing N / NE / E / SE / S / SW / W / NW. North is highlighted in red. Always know where you're heading.

Coordinates
Clean X / Y / Z display in the top-left corner with a dark background. Updates with smooth animations.

Speed Indicator
Shows your current movement speed in m/s near the hunger bar. Color-coded: White = walking, Yellow = sprinting, Blue = elytra, Red = very fast.

Potion Timers
Active effects shown in the top-right with remaining time and a progress bar. Green = beneficial, Red = harmful. Blinks when about to expire.

Biome & Dimension Notifications
A smooth toast notification slides in from the bottom-right when you enter a new biome or switch dimensions. Plays the classic Minecraft UI click sound on trigger.

FPS / Ping
Minimal FPS and Ping display in the bottom-left corner.

GUI Effects
When opening any inventory or screen: stronger dark blur overlay, slowly drifting semi-transparent wireframe cubes, subtle vignette and scanline effects.

CONFIGURATION

Config file is created automatically at .minecraft/config/kubos_betterui.json
Every feature can be toggled individually: coordinates, speed, fps/ping, compass, potion timers, notifications, gui effects, cube count, animation speed.

NOTES

Client-side only — safe to use on any server.
No gameplay changes whatsoever.
Compatible with most other HUD mods.
