About this project

What does Gneiss Earth add?

Gneiss Earth brings geological diversity to Minecraft's underground, adding 7 new real-world mineral and rock types that generate naturally throughout the world.

New Stone Variants:

  • Amphibole — a dark, dense igneous mineral
  • Gabbro — a coarse-grained intrusive rock
  • Olivine — a green silicate mineral found in the deep
    underground
  • Feldspar — one of the most abundant minerals in Earth's
    crust
  • Mica — a layered silicate with a distinctive sheen
  • Kaolinite — a soft clay mineral
  • Talc — the softest of the new stones

Each stone comes with a full set of building blocks:

  • Raw stone block
  • Bricks
  • Brick Stairs
  • Brick Slabs
