What is Reverse Eon?
Reverse Eon turns your world into one that can be rewritten.
A timeline-bending Storm sweeps across the Overworld, unmaking everything it touches. A Flood as high as the sky can be called down to wash the world back to 1999. And between the disasters you have a home: a floating island inside a Timekeeper Suitcase, eight islanders who live there, an Arcanist path with nineteen Auras, critters to raise, bosses to face, a dimension hidden behind a painting — and a Tome that remembers it all.
Every screen is hand-crafted in one Art Deco style, every disaster is built to be seen and heard, and the rules that could cost you the most can be switched off.
At a glance
- ⚡ The Storm — rain that falls upward, a world coming apart, and a clock you have to beat
- 🌊 The Flood (new in 1.1.8) — the end of the world, set to music
- 🧳 Your own island — a pocket dimension you carry in a suitcase
- 👥 Eight islanders — with their own screens, voices, moods, gifts and bonds
- 🔮 Nineteen Auras — each with its own colour, power and theme; some colours resonate
- 👑 Bosses, raids and the Depth of Myth — fights and places with music of their own
- 🐾 Critters — find them, bond with them, level them, evolve them
- 📖 The Tome of the Eon — a guide that keeps your records

⚡ The Storm
It arrives by degrees: a thin rain rising where it should fall, the colour draining out of the world, clouds that slow, stop, and drift the wrong way. Then it lands — three phases, each worse than the last, counted down on glowing Nixie tubes.
- Reversed rain in three depths, a field you move through rather than a cloud that follows you. At its height the ground itself comes apart, and what an explosion breaks flows up into the sky.
- Storm Syndrome is a clock, not damage. Stand unsheltered and your maximum health wears away; reach shelter in time and every point of it comes back.
- It unmakes every creature it catches — torn apart, pixel by pixel — and gives them back once it has passed.
- Shelter under the Equilibrium Umbrella, carry a Hofmann Knot, wear the Foundation Standard Uniform — or raise a Dove Tower, whose Protection Dove keeps the ground beneath it whole.
- Storm monsters — four creatures the Storm caught and never finished unmaking, visibly being eaten by it as they fight you.
- Manus raids — in its final phase, the Manus come for your Doves.
- When it passes, the year turns — and, if you allow it, the world itself is rewritten.

🌊 The Flood — new in 1.1.8

The end of the world, set to music.
It is called by the Blank Core — a ball of black ink that hangs in the air and waits, dripping. Feed it a hundred lives taken inside its ring and it swells with each one. It warns everyone on the server, plainly, from the moment it is set down. When it is full, the water comes.
- A wall of water as high as the world, closing in from every side at once — timed to its own three-minute score. It holds its breath in the music's hush, and falls on the drop.
- Thirty seconds of breath. Stay under too long and the water does not kill you — it keeps you. You sink. Ink creeps in from the edges of your sight, the world turns into a drawing, then a blank page; your screen tears, melts and fades.
- When the music ends, every sound goes, the world goes white — and it begins again. It is 1999. The Overworld is reborn. Those who came through wake together, far away, with the Suitcase beside them. Those it kept come back with nothing.
- The Flood outranks the Storm: called into one, it swallows it.
- Everything is a setting — whether a core can call it, how many lives, how long you can breathe, whether it resets the world — with a page of its own in the in-game settings.

🧳 A Home in a Suitcase

Set down the Timekeeper Suitcase and step inside: a floating island dimension that is yours.
- Run it from the Computer Suitcase — monster spawning, portal lock, exit point, a Visitor Log, zone previews and a full island reset.
- Carry the Suitcase Tablet — linked storage across all your boxes, with a history of who moved what, and a crafting panel built in.
- Pick the Suitcase up and take it with you. Your home goes where you go.
👥 The Islanders

Vertin, Sonetto, Matilda, Druvis, Regulus, Lilya, Sotheby and Ms. NewBabel live on the island — each with a screen in their own colour, their own voice, thirty-one expressions and real body language. They wave, cry, cheer, sit down, and talk to each other.
- Gifts, affinity and conversations — and the Celestial Covenant: fourteen bonds on a chart of constellations, every one of which does something.
- Island Bonuses — every islander's presence grants a bonus, and each can be switched on or off.
- A world to run: the Quest Board, Vertin's quest ledger, Druvis's garden, Lilya's Broom Jet and her treasure charts, Sotheby's apothecary, the Critter Lodge — and Sharpodonty, the island's own coin, with the Gilded Annuity to grow it.

🔮 The Arcanist Path

Earn Arcanist EXP by weathering the Storm, and unlock passives as you rise.
Awaken your Aura with a key press — nineteen colours, each with its own music, sigil, light and power. The rare ones bend the rules: Crimson, Void, Gilded, Prism, Verdant.
Resonance — stand beside the right colour and a thread of light joins you: both of you gain something neither has alone.
With Iron's Spellbooks installed: four schools of magic — Ink, Fate, Sonetto and the Guiding One — Sonetto's own spells, the Guiding Staff, and Suitcase Passage, a spell that takes you home.

👑 Bosses, Raids & the Depth of Myth

- The Guiding One's Creation — a multi-phase boss, waiting in her own camp, with a theme for each phase.
- Forget Me Not — a mini-boss with a theme of its own.
- Manus raids — they march out of the Storm for your Doves; hold the ground or lose it.
- The Depth of Myth — hang the Myth Mural on a wall and walk into it. A sunken world beneath the paint, where every fragment of painted memory sinks you deeper — and the deeper you go, the quieter the world and the slower, darker its music.

🐾 Critters

Carbunclew, Mushroom-Lion, Steampunk Owl, Alien-Snail, Green Slime-Cat and Deer-Horn Skull-Plant — each with its own model, animations and special move. And the Critter Kingbunclew, which is what a Carbunclew becomes when it stops being cute.
- Bond, name, feed and level them — their rolled stats grow with them.
- Equip collar tags and trinkets (ten in all) and keeper artifacts for yourself.
- Evolve a Mushroom-Lion into a crowned Mycelium King.
- Keep track of your whole pack with the Critter Whistle, board them at the Lodge, or try your luck with a Critter Crate.

📖 The Tome of the Eon

A page-turning guide to everything in the mod — relics, a bestiary, auras, the Storm and the Arcanist path. Search reads the pages, not just the names. The bestiary keeps your records: what you have met, how many you have defeated, your best critter rolls. Recipes open at a click with JEI.

⏳Spinning Wheel

The Soul Hourglass and the Wheel of Life to pull a fallen friend back. A Wishing Orb — four wishes, and you may take one. The Storm Almanac to read the coming weather. The Critical Point, to break the sky yourself. The year, kept on a Nixie desk clock. And a full in-game settings screen, sorted by category, with every option explained.

🎵 The Soundtrack
The music lives in a separate, optional add-on — Reverse Eon Soundtrack — so the main mod stays small. Over thirty tracks: music for the world and the island by day and night, a theme for every Aura, boss and raid themes, the Storm's and the Flood's own scores, all levelled to the same loudness. Without it the mod runs exactly the same, only quieter.
The Flood's music needs Reverse Eon Soundtrack 1.0.8 or newer.

❓ FAQ
Will the Flood or the Storm destroy my world? Only if you let them. The Flood is called by a Blank Core that warns everyone in chat from the moment it is placed, and every part of its ending — the reset, the year, being sent out — can be turned off. The Storm's world revert is off by default.
Does it work in multiplayer? Yes — it is built for servers: everyone sees the same Storm, the same Flood and the same music, on the same second.
