How Reassembled differs from the original

The original Assembly Mod was created for the Forge-based Minecraft 1.7.10 environment. Reassembled is a rewritten and modernized continuation for **Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.221 and Java 21**.

The continuation:

  • replaces the legacy Forge 1.7.10 codebase with a modern NeoForge implementation;
  • supports current registries, recipes, item components, menus, networking and item capabilities;
  • works on dedicated servers and integrates normal NeoForge protection events;
  • adds a persistent NeoForge Common Config and administrator commands;
  • adds full-stack Chester transfers while respecting real item stack limits;
  • adds a live recipe-result preview to the automatic Workbench;
  • restores and synchronizes the Sorter's four filter outputs;
  • adds five persistent, selectable Digger speed stages;
  • fixes legacy crafting crashes, unsafe mining ranges, item duplication and incorrect item routing;
  • retains the original factory concept and recognizable visual style with TeNNoX' permission.

About the mod

Assembly Mod is a modern continuation of TeNNoX' classic factory-automation mod, rebuilt for Minecraft 1.21.1.

Build compact automated factories using conveyor belts, filters and specialized machines. Assembly Mod does not require an energy network: machines use simple redstone controls and direct item transport.

Features

  • Normal, fast, bidirectional, corner and crossing conveyor belts
  • Four-way sorter with color-coded filter rows and ON/OFF controls
  • Assembly Furnace with eight-times-faster processing
  • Automatic 3x3 Workbench with a live crafting-result preview
  • Chester for stack-aware inventory transfers
  • Counter, Breaker and Placer machines
  • Farmer for automatic crop harvesting and replanting
  • Marker-bounded Digger with five selectable mining-speed stages
  • Redstone-powered Shocker
  • Propeller item lift and transparent Fall-Through block
  • Persistent server configuration and administrator commands
  • Dedicated-server support

Transfers respect the real maximum stack size of every item. Standard items move in stacks of up to 64, while 16-stack and non-stackable items retain their normal limits.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.221 exactly
  • Java 21
  • The mod must be installed on both the client and server

No additional mods or libraries are required.

Installation

  1. Install NeoForge 21.1.221 for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  2. Place assemblymod-1.2.0-neoforge-1.21.1.jar in the instance's mods folder.
  3. For multiplayer, install the same file on the server and every connecting client.
  4. Start the game. The common configuration file is generated automatically.

Configuration

The server-persistent common configuration is stored at:

config/assemblymod-common.toml

Read-only status commands:

/assemblymod
/assemblymod status
/assembly status
/am status

Changing values requires permission level 2:

/assemblymod set beltSpeed <0.05..0.80>
/assemblymod set speederMultiplier <1.0..2.0>
/assemblymod set machineInterval <1..200>
/assemblymod set diggerMaxRadius <1..128>
/assemblymod set destructiveMachines <true|false>

The aliases /assembly and /am support the same subcommands.

Digger upgrades

The Digger begins at one block per second. Insert the following materials by right-clicking to unlock faster stages:

  • 1 iron ingot: stage 2
  • 2 gold ingots: stages 3 and 4
  • 1 diamond: stage 5

Right-click the Digger with an empty hand to cycle through all unlocked stages. Sneak-right-click resets its marked area.
