About this project

What does Villager Panic add?

Villager Panic

Violence now leaves a lasting impression on a village.

When villagers witness an attack, they recognize the dangerous player and react according to their situation, personality, and surroundings.

Every incident can unfold differently depending on who witnesses it, where villagers escape, and how the threatening player behaves.

Survival Reactions

Villagers may:

* Flee and search for shelter
* Freeze when confronted
* Retreat when cornered
* Fight back if they are brave
* Follow and protect vulnerable children

Villagers can use houses, workplaces, caves, trees, and other enclosed spaces as shelter.

Panicked villagers stop sleeping, trading, restocking, and performing their normal activities until the danger has passed.

A Village Under Lockdown

* Continued violence can push the village into lockdown.
* All villagers hide from the attacker, and react when discovered.
* Iron golems will immediately aggro towards the threatening player.

Adrenaline and Trauma

Injured villagers receive a temporary burst of speed. Severe injuries can leave them moving more slowly until they are healed.

Villagers can retain trauma after surviving violence, repeated and future encounters with the threatening player will trigger stronger and longer lasting psychological reactions.

Compatibility Notes

  • Sodium/Embeddium and Iris Shaders are compatible with Villager Panic
  • Using TACz with Villager panic ENHANCES the experience
  • Carry On is compatible, however it may cause inconsistencies with Villager Panic
