About this project

What does GAROS Performance Optimization - Initial Chunk Generator add?

GAROS Performance Optimization - Initial Chunk Generator

Prepare Your World Before You Enter It

GAROS Performance Optimization - Initial Chunk Generator coordinates Chunky and Distant Horizons during the creation of a new single-player world.

Instead of entering a world surrounded by unfinished terrain and waiting for distant detail to catch up, you can generate a configurable area around spawn before gameplay begins. Once preparation is complete, the world opens automatically.

Initial generation is optional and disabled by default.

Chunk generation settings

A Controlled Two-Stage Process

First, Chunky generates complete Minecraft chunks around the world spawn.

Chunky terrain generation

Afterward, Distant Horizons prepares the corresponding distant terrain, avoiding competition between both generators during the initial process.

Distant Horizons LOD generation

When both stages finish, the world opens with its initial terrain already prepared.

Generated distant terrain
