About this project

What does Emote Phase Sync add?

Emote Phase Sync

Client-side addon for Emotecraft that automatically syncs the phase of looping emotes between nearby players.

What it does

If you and another player are both playing the same looping emote nearby, the mod automatically adjusts the start point of your animation to match the cycle of whoever is already dancing — instead of starting from zero and ending up out of phase, you snap into the same beat.

You don't need to press anything extra beyond the normal emote (keybind, wheel, or Emotecraft menu). Syncing happens automatically the moment you activate the emote.

  • No handshake, no invite, no extra command.
  • If no one nearby is playing the same emote, it just starts normally from the beginning.
  • Works with any looping emote, including custom ones (as long as both players have the emote file installed, same as standard Emotecraft behavior).

Requirements

Install on both clients (you and whoever you're dancing with) — since it's client-side only, no server-side installation is needed beyond Emotecraft already running there (native or via proxy).

Configuration

Generated at config/emotephasesync-client.toml:

Option Default Description
enabled true Enables/disables syncing
searchRadius 16.0 Radius (in blocks) to search for someone playing the same emote
syncBeforeLoop true Sync even if the neighbor is still in the emote's intro (before the actual loop)
logDebug false Logs every sync decision to the console, useful for troubleshooting

Installation

  1. Install Emotecraft 2.4.x for NeoForge 1.21.1.
  2. Download this addon and place it in the mods folder.
  3. Done — no configuration needed for basic use.
