🌍 About Solo Mining

Solo Mining is a Solo-Leveling inspired dungeon mod for Fabric. While you play normally, gates open in your world — glowing portals with a rank from E to S*. That rank is not random: it is measured from the gear you are carrying right now. Show up in leather and you get a beginner gate. Show up in netherite and the world answers accordingly.

Stepping through a gate takes you into a private instanced dimension. You land in a small lobby with a hunter trader and a ready pedestal. Once you are ready, the run begins: a fully generated valley under an open sky, split into combat zones connected by mountain passes, filled with monsters, traps, ore veins, an optional elite guardian — and at the very end, a boss with real abilities and phases.

Clear it, loot the reward chest, walk out through the exit gate. Or leave it unused and find out what comes out of a collapsing gate instead. 😈

✨ Main Features

  • 🌀 Gates that open on their own — timed spawns near players, or summoned on demand with the Gate Catalyst
  • 📊 Gear-based ranking from E to S* — your armor and your best weapon decide the difficulty
  • 🎲 6 gate types — Normal, Treasure, Elite, Boss, Red and the rare S* Special Gate
  • 🏔️ Handcrafted-feeling valleys with ridges, passes, lakes, forests and rock formations — fully procedural, never the same twice
  • 🗺️ 6 layout archetypes — straight corridor, zigzag, serpentine, spiral, staircase and horseshoe
  • 🎨 6 dungeon themes — Deep Cave, Ice Wasteland, Sand Temple, Volcanic Depths, Overgrown Ruin and the Abyss
  • 🗣️ 6 languages supported — English, German, Spanish, French, Turkish and Russian
  • 👑 Boss fights with 13 abilities and 3 phases, telegraphed by particles and sound
  • 💀 Elite guardians as optional mini bosses with their own reward chest
  • 🕳️ Traps and hazards woven into the terrain
  • 💰 10 hunter currencies and a Hunter Shop with a real trader NPC
  • 👥 Party support — one gate for the whole group, scaling with the number of ready players
  • 🏆 8 advancements tracking your career from first gate to S-rank hunter
  • ⚙️ 127 config options — almost every number in this list can be changed without touching code

🌀 Gates & Ranks

Gates appear near players on a timer, or you can force one with the Gate Catalyst. Lost track of one? The Gate Tracker pings the nearest active gate and marks it with a pillar of particles.

When a gate opens, the mod looks at your average armor tier and your best weapon in the whole inventory — not just the one in your hand, so the rank cannot be gamed by swapping gear at the last second. The higher value wins and becomes the rank:

Rank Typical Gear Monster Count Health Damage
E Leather & wood 18 – 24 ×1.25 ×1.15
D Chainmail & copper 20 – 28 ×1.60 ×1.35
C Iron & gold 24 – 32 ×2.00 ×1.55
B Iron with a strong weapon 30 – 40 ×2.55 ×1.80
A Diamond 36 – 50 ×3.25 ×2.15
S Netherite 50 – 68 ×4.60 ×2.75
S+ Netherite and beyond 72 – 96 ×6.50 ×3.60
S* Endgame 96 – 132 ×8.75 ×4.80

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 A party of three or more can push a gate up one rank — more players, more danger, more loot.

🎲 Gate Types

Every gate rolls a type on top of its rank, and the type is shown before you enter — so you always know what you are walking into:

  • 🔵 Normal Gate — the standard run
  • 🟡 Treasure Gate — fewer and weaker monsters, a far richer reward chest
  • 🟣 Elite Gate — a guaranteed elite guardian and tougher monsters
  • 🔴 Boss Gate — the boss is the main event and hits much harder
  • 🩸 Red Gate — everything is stronger, everything drops more. Rank A and upward only
  • 🟪 S* Special Gate — the rarest gate in the mod. Bring friends

🏔️ The Valley

Solo Mining does not generate a box of corridors. Every gate builds a valley under an open sky, ringed by a mountain range and an invisible border, so you can always see where you are going.

  • ⛰️ Real terrain — noise-shaped ridges and slopes instead of repeating stair-step terraces
  • 🛤️ Combat zones connected by passes — the ridges between them are climbable, but the passes are the road
  • 🌲 Living ground — grass, dirt, snow or sand depending on the theme, with trees, tall grass, ferns, cacti, boulders, glowing cairns and ponds
  • 🪨 Zone features — rock outcrops, plateaus, hollows, pillar clusters, ruined walls and light cairns give every arena a shape to fight around
  • 💎 Ore veins matching the theme — mining inside a gate is allowed, and worth it
  • 🧱 Built in time slices — the terrain is generated across several ticks with a progress display, so even a huge S*-rank valley does not freeze the server

🎨 Themes

  • 🕳️ Deep Cave — stone, moss and darkness. Spiders, skeletons, cave dwellers
  • ❄️ Ice Wasteland — snow, ice and powder snow. Strays and frozen horrors
  • 🏜️ Sand Temple — sandstone and buried ruins. Husks and mummified guardians
  • 🌋 Volcanic Depths — blackstone, basalt and lava streams. Piglins, blazes and magma cubes
  • 🌿 Overgrown Ruin — mossy bricks and water. Witches, spiders and creeping growth
  • 🌑 Abyssal Void — deepslate and sculk. Wither skeletons and vindicators

Low ranks stay in familiar territory; from rank C upward the newer themes mix in, and at rank A everything is possible.

⚔️ A Dungeon Run

  1. 🚪 Enter the gate. Walking into the portal plane charges it for three seconds, with the familiar portal effect on screen.
  2. 🛖 The lobby. A safe waiting room with the hunter trader, a market stall, a ready pedestal and an exit gate.
  3. Ready up. Click the pedestal or use /solomining ready. Everyone who is ready counts toward the scaling.
  4. 🔒 Gear lock. Once the run starts, your armor is locked — no swapping into better gear after the rank has been decided.
  5. 🗡️ Clear the valley. Fight your way from zone to zone. An elite guardian may block the way, guarding a reward chest of its own.
  6. 🌑 The boss appears. When the last monster falls, darkness descends for a few seconds — and when your sight returns, the ruler is standing there.
  7. 🎁 Loot and leave. The reward chest spawns with an exit gate right beside it, so you never have to walk the whole valley back.

💡 Need to leave early? The Dungeon Exit Crystal and /solomining exit put you back on the exact spot you came from. Your dungeon stays alive and can be resumed with /solomining return.

👑 Boss Fights

Every dungeon ends with a boss, and the bosses fight back properly:

  • 🎯 13 abilities — four universal ones plus three per theme family
  • 🩸 3 phases — Normal, Enraged below 50% health and Desperate below 25%, each with shorter cooldowns and stronger effects
  • ⚠️ Telegraphs — particles and sound warn you about a big hit before it lands
  • 👥 Multi-boss or empowered boss — a Boss Gate rolls either one huge ruler or several lesser ones

Ice: Frost Field ❄️ · Glacial Chains ⛓️ · Blizzard 🌨️
Sand: Sand Tomb 🏜️ · Scorching Winds 🔥 · Tomb Quake 💥
Cave & Abyss: Abyss Web 🕸️ · Shadow Blink 👤 · Abyss Roar 📢
Universal: Summon Adds 💀 · Shockwave 🌊 · Curse of Weakness 🔮 · Last Stand ⚡

💰 Currencies, Loot & the Hunter Shop

Dungeons pay out in ten hunter currencies — Essence Stone, Mana Crystal, Hunter Coin, Gate Fragment, Gate Key Fragment, Frost Shard, Abyss Fang, Ancient Relic, Boss Core and Dungeon Core — plus vanilla rewards that scale with the rank, up to netherite scrap, echo shards and a nether star at S*.

🏪 The Hunter Shop stands in every lobby as a market stall with a real trader behind it. Four tabs:

  • 🍎 Supplies — food, potions and consumables
  • 🔮 Gate Supplies — catalysts, key fragments, exit crystals and trackers, so your currency flows back into more runs
  • 🛡️ Equipment — always exactly one tier above your current gear, measured from what you wear and carry. Netherite is never for sale
  • 💱 Exchange — trade currencies against each other, or sell them for emeralds

The entire shop lives in a JSON file, so you can change every price, add your own offers, or sell items from other mods by registry id.

⏳ Missed a Gate?

Gates do not wait forever. An unused gate collapses after 15 minutes — with an explosion and a wave of monsters spilling into your world. 💥

Explosion and invasion can be switched off separately, and by default the blast leaves your builds intact.

📊 HUD & Feedback

  • 🗂️ Dungeon info box — a compact panel at the top of the screen showing rank, gate type, remaining monsters and progress, tinted in the rank color
  • 🔔 Toast notifications for gates opening, rewards, purchases and warnings — with an automatic chat fallback
  • 📜 System messages in the style of a certain hunter status window

🧩 Compatibility

  • 👥 PartyLink — one gate for the whole party, party-wide notifications, and scaling based on ready members
  • 🐾 Loyal Companion — your companions come along, and their damage against dungeon monsters is capped, so pets support you instead of soloing the run for you
  • 🐲 World Bosses — world boss gear is recognised by the rank system, and world bosses can show up as dungeon bosses
  • 🧟 Any mob mod — monster pools are configured by registry id in a JSON file, so modded mobs can populate your gates

Every integration is fully optional. None of these mods are required, and nothing breaks if they are missing.

🏆 Advancements

  • 🌀 First Step — enter your first gate
  • Gate Cleared — complete your first dungeon
  • 💀 Elite Hunter — defeat an elite guardian
  • 🥇 A-Rank Hunter — clear a rank A gate or higher
  • 👑 S-Rank Hunter — clear a rank S gate or higher
  • 🛒 Regular — buy something from the hunter trader
  • 💥 Too Late — let a gate collapse unused, and survive what comes out

⚙️ Configuration

Solo Mining ships with 127 config options in config/solomining.json, generated on first start. Among them:

  • ⏱️ Gate spawn window, expiry timer, spawn distance, and how many gates a busy server should hand out
  • 📈 Monster count, health and damage multipliers — globally, per rank and per gate type
  • 👑 Boss health, ability damage and radius, cooldowns, phase thresholds and telegraph length
  • 🏔️ Valley size, ridge height, pass width, flora density, terrain features and layout archetype
  • 🚀 Build speed per tick, chunk preloading and the handover fade
  • 🛡️ Gear lock, block protection, ore mining, mob filtering and the companion damage cap
  • 🎨 HUD, toasts, system messages and boss announcements

Two more files let you go further:

  • 🧟 config/solomining_custom_mobs.json — define your own monster and boss pools
  • 🏪 config/solomining_shop.json — full control over the shop range and all prices

🕹️ Commands

Command Description
/solomining ping Ping your nearest active gate
/solomining where The same, with location details
/solomining ready Ready up in the lobby
/solomining exit Leave the lobby or dungeon without losing it
/solomining return Return to your active dungeon
/solomining spawn Spawn a gate near you
/solomining rescue Emergency exit back into the world
/solomining close Close your current dungeon instance
/solomining expire Immediately collapse the nearest unused gate

📌 Notes

  • 🧵 Fabric only. Fabric API is required.
  • 🖥️ Works in singleplayer and on servers. HUD and toasts need the mod on the client.
  • 🌌 Dungeons live in their own dimension, far away from your world — your builds are never touched.
  • 💾 Runs are persistent: log out inside a gate and continue later with /solomining return.

🧭 Perfect For

  • ⚔️ Players who want real combat content inside a normal survival world
  • 📺 Fans of Solo Leveling and dungeon-gate stories
  • 👥 Small servers looking for a group activity that scales with the party
  • 🧑‍🔧 Modpack authors who want a fully configurable dungeon system with modded mob support

The gate is open. The clock is running. 🕒
