About this project
What does Sundry - Builder's Toolkit add?
Sundry
A growing collection of tools and mechanics for builders, with a few experimental twists thrown in. Each update adds something new without breaking what's already there.
Sundry doesn't try to replace your building workflow — it gives you a toolbox of small, focused helpers that make precision building, planning, and decorating faster and more fun.
What's in the box
🔧 Level Square Right-click a block to anchor a set of colored guide lines (X/Y/Z axes, plus an optional diagonal) that help you align builds precisely. Adjustable length, tick marks every block, and distance labels so you always know exactly how far you've gone.
✨ Sketch Wand Plan before you build. Place translucent "ghost" previews of any block — sourced from a full searchable list of every block in your game, vanilla or modded — then hit them to materialize for real, consuming the matching material from your inventory. Stack ghosts to preview entire structures before spending a single block.
🪜 Auto Scaffold Charm Walk toward open air while holding this charm and scaffolding appears under your feet automatically — no more spam-clicking to bridge. It's a loan, not a purchase: let go of the charm and every auto-placed block vanishes and refunds itself to your inventory.
🎨 Nature Palette Fill your hotbar with a mix of blocks (stone, dirt, gravel — whatever) and paint a natural-looking blended patch with one click, weighted by how much of each material you're carrying. Sketches first as ghosts so you can preview the blend before committing.
🌧️ Rain Cloud Bring the weather with you. Hold it for a portable rain effect that follows you, or place it down as a small floating cloud that rains in one spot forever. Either way it extinguishes nearby fire and hydrates farmland — handy for grief control or just atmosphere.
🪞 Symmetry Brush Carry it in your offhand, set an origin, and every block you place or break with your main hand gets mirrored across the X axis, Z axis, or both for full 4-way symmetry. Perfect for temples, gates, and anything that needs to look intentional on both sides.
🌊 Water Level Anchor a translucent horizontal plane at any height, complete with a reference grid. It stays exactly where you set it — walk away and come back, it hasn't moved. Great for leveling large terrain without eyeballing height differences block by block.
Configurable
Sundry ships with an in-game config screen (via NeoForge's built-in config UI — no extra dependencies needed) for tuning the Symmetry Brush's behavior: whether it mirrors breaking blocks, whether it consumes extra materials, and its maximum working range.
Languages
Full English and Spanish translations included, auto-selected based on your game's language setting.
