Where it goes
Is Open Quests Community Pack required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Open Quests Community Pack Open Quests 0.1.5 for 1.21.1 Fabric need?
Open Quests 0.1.5 for 1.21.1 Fabric. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install FTB Filter System, Fabric API, FTB XMod Compat, FTB Quests (Fabric) and 4 more first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 10 come through another mod in the chain.
10 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Open Quests Community Pack add?
Open Quests Community Pack
This is an addon for FTB Quests whose purpose is to provide complete questlines for as many Minecraft mods as possible. This way, if you are a player and you install it (alongside FTB Quests), you get ready quests in your game guiding you through different mods' progression, and if you're a modpack developer, you can use this mod's quests to skip on writing questlines for mods your pack isn't significantly changing.
It requires Open Quests API to work!
Currently supported mods
- Applied Energistics 2 and its addons (Extended AE, Advanced AE, Applied Flux, Applied Experienced, ME Requester, AE2WTLIB)
- Mekanism and its addons (Mekanism Generators, Mekanism MoreMachine, Applied Mekanistics)
- Botania and its addons (Mythic Botany, Applied Botanics)
- Ars Nouveau and its addons (Ars Additions, Ars Elemental, Ars Controle, Ars Technica, Ars Energistique, Ars Creo)
- Twilight Forest
- The Aether
- Blood Magic
- Evilcraft
I'm just one person, so it's gonna take a while to add everything; suggestions are accepted, but no ETAs are guaranteed. You can add a questline to the pack yourself, though - @see Contribution Guidelines! For now, I'm focusing on large mods with lots of content and clear progression lines (and addons of such mods), as these beniefit the most from having a dedicated quest chapter.
Contribution Guidelines
This is a community pack, which means contributions are welcome and encouraged! Whether you're a mod author or just a player experienced with a mod, you can write a questline for said mod and PR it to this repo! Though please keep in mind the following guidelines:
- AI use is strictly forbidden.
- Don't make the player sweat too much. Tasks like "obtain every block and item from the mod" should be delegated to optional quests, especially for chance-based drops. That being said, those quests are still useful for items with unique purposes - to teach the player that these items exist and what their purposes are.
- Use the common tags (#c:, or #forge: on Forge) instead of items for the filters on raw resources, as they are likely to be oredictionarified. There's a platform-agnostic function for creating them in the Open Quests API called
Utils.commonTag.
I did my best to make the underlying Open Quests API easy to use even for Java beginners, I hope I did a good job :D look at my code for examples!
For modpack creators
As said above, you are absolutely allowed to include this mod in your pack and edit its quests however you like. The mod has a blacklist feature that can force it to ignore specific installed mods: the intended use for that is for you to copy the mod's output, edit it however, and blacklist the mod so that there are no changes. One important rule, however, is that if you use any quests from this mod in your modpack, the mod itself should be included in it as well - as attribution.
