About this project
What does Races Reborn add?
Races Reborn
Choose who you want to become. Races Reborn adds 14 playable races, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and way of surviving Minecraft.
Your first spawn opens a race selection screen with your player model, stats, and a guide to each race. Your choice stays with you through death and rejoining. Most traits work passively, so your race changes everyday exploration, combat, and survival.
Choose your race
| Race | What changes |
|---|---|
| Human | The default Minecraft experience, with no extra strengths or weaknesses. |
| Vampire | Steal health in melee, thrive at night, and transform into a flying bat. Sunlight burns, and bat flight consumes hunger. |
| Giant | Tower over other players with more health, longer block and attack reach, and powerful punches. Move and attack more slowly, and watch out for tight spaces. |
| Elf | Move faster, fire faster and more accurate projectiles, and strengthen bow shots by standing still to aim. Gain extra chest loot and chances for bonus mob, fishing, and ore rewards, but have less health. |
| Dwarf | A smaller, tougher miner with faster mining, unrestricted sneaking speed, and a 33% chance for bonus ore drops. Walk more slowly. Ordinary blocks do not grant bonus drops. |
| Merfolk | Breathe underwater and in rain, swim faster, and mine normally underwater. On dry land, your air runs out; water bottles and water cauldrons can refill it. |
| Demon | Resist fire and lava, gain strength in the Nether, and build heat to empower melee attacks and ignite enemies. Water and rain hurt. |
| Angel | Glide, take less fall damage, deal more damage to undead, and weaken nearby undead. Have less health. |
| Arachnid | Climb and cling to walls, ignore webs and poison, and sense moving hostile mobs while still. Spiders leave you alone unless provoked, but sunlight slows you and you have less health. |
| Slime | Become tiny, bounce on landing, jump higher, regenerate quickly, and ignore fall damage. Have very low health and take extra fire damage. Sneak to stop bouncing. |
| Frostborn | Thrive in cold biomes, resist freezing, walk on powder snow, chill enemies, and create temporary ice paths while sneaking. Food is less effective in hot biomes and the Nether. |
| Golem | Gain health, armor, and knockback resistance. Repair yourself with metals or diamonds instead of food. Move slowly, take extra pickaxe damage, and sink in water with double drowning damage. |
| Dryad | Grow stronger around abundant, varied vegetation. Different plant and tree types improve movement, armor, melee damage, and healing. Root yourself on natural ground to recover, and help nearby crops grow. Fire is especially dangerous. |
| Wraith | Move with low gravity and silent footsteps, fall farther safely, and phase up to five blocks in the direction you look, including upward. Recover spirit in darkness. Low health, weaker armor, inverted healing and harming, and vulnerability to Smite demand care. |
