About this project

What does Hephaestus Tools add?

Hephaestus Tools adds a full set of modular tools to Minecraft that work with the Hephaestus Forge smeltery system. You craft tool parts by casting molten metals into molds, then assemble them at a tool station. Each material gives different stats like mining speed, durability, and attack damage, and some materials come with unique traits that change how the tool behaves.

The mod includes all the standard tool types plus some bigger ones like hammers and excavators that mine in a wide area. Tools level up as you use them, unlocking mastery paths that give them new abilities depending on the tool type. A kama can learn to harvest crops in an area, a hand axe can chop down whole trees, and combat tools get their own set of combat masteries.

You can also add modifiers to your tools at the forge table, things like silk touch, looting, extra durability, or stat boosts. Tools don't break permanently either, they just stop working until you repair them, so you never lose a tool you spent time building up.

Everything integrates with JEI so you can look up all the casting and melting recipes in game.
