About this project

What does Rumble in the Desert Compatibility add?

Companion mod for the Rumble in the Desert modpack (NeoForge 1.21.1). It is built for that pack and probably isn't useful on its own.

Features (each one only switches on when the mods it works with are installed):

  • Create Food drinks restore thirst (Thirst Was Reclaimed). Juices, milkshakes, hot chocolate and the other drinks become thirst-only: no hunger, always drinkable, and their effects are kept.
  • Purified water fix (Thirst Was Reclaimed). Water purified by the Sand Filter or by spouts no longer reads back as Dirty.
  • Extra ore samples (Surface Samples). Adds anthralite and lead ore sample blocks for marking ore deposits.
  • Wave raids (Scorched Guns). Scorched Guns' nightly and flare raids run as vanilla-style wave raids, with a raid title and horn, a raid bar and several escalating waves. The boss joins the last wave. Raiders don't hurt each other, the raid centres on the targeted player's bed, and beds refuse on raid nights. All of it can be changed or turned off in config/scgunswaveraids-common.toml (enabled = false restores Scorched Guns' own raids).
  • Desert terrain (ReTerraForged). Ships the pack's ReTerraForged desert preset as built-in data, so new worlds always get desert terrain with no oceans. Existing worlds keep the preset they were created with.

Warning: the desert preset replaces the overworld's terrain generation for new worlds. Don't add this mod to other packs unless you want that.
