About this project
What does Diorama Maps add?

Diorama Maps
Client-only. Turns vanilla filled maps into orthographic voxel maps in Diorama's look - slanted terrain, block tops and south faces, the same warm unknown-ground palette.
No server install. Open a map in your hand or hang it in an item frame; as you explore, the picture fills in from chunks your client has seen.

Features
- Orthographic maps - filled maps use Diorama-style projection instead of flat map colors
- Live exploration - bakes from client chunks as you walk; works in singleplayer and on multiplayer servers
- Player marker - your position is reprojected to match the oblique view
- Item frames - neighboring framed maps share a reference height so coasts and edges line up
- Fabric and NeoForge - same idea on both loaders

How to use
- Craft or find a filled map as usual.
- Hold it or place it in an item frame.
- Explore the area - the orthographic picture updates from what your client has loaded.
Nothing changes on the server. Other players without the mod still see normal vanilla maps.

Notes
- Client-only - install on the client; the server does not need the mod.
- Maps only show terrain your client has visited (or otherwise loaded). Unseen areas stay the soft diorama ground color until you explore them.
- Built for Minecraft 1.21.11 and 26.1+ on Fabric and NeoForge.
