About this project
What does Xaero's World Map x MineColonies add?
Shows your MineColonies colonies on Xaero's World Map and Minimap: their claimed area, their buildings, and details when you hover over them.
Features
- Claimed chunks are drawn on the world map, with a thick border around the outer edge of each colony.
- Every building gets an icon at its position. The icons fade out when you zoom far out, so the map stays readable. Building types without an icon show a coloured letter.
- Hover over a colony or a building to see its name, ID, dimension, number of claimed chunks, centre and position.
- Everything is remembered while you move away and saved per world or server, so it is still there after a restart.
- Follows the dimension shown on the map (Overworld, Nether, End).
- Optional Xaero's Minimap support: claims and building icons are drawn on the minimap too, and they turn and zoom with it.
- Two keys (under Controls) show or hide the claim areas (K) and the building icons (J), on the maps and in game. Your choice is saved.
- Optional server part: if the mod is also installed on the server, you see colonies you have never visited. Without it, the mod works as before and learns about a colony once you have been near it.
- Colonies that are deleted disappear from your map (on servers that have the mod).
Server setup (optional)
- Put the same mod file into the server's mods folder, together with MineColonies and its dependencies. The server does not need Xaero's World Map.
- Players without the mod can still join a server that has it, and players with the mod can still join servers that do not.
- On first start the server creates config/minecoloniexaeroscompat-server.toml:
- shareMode: MEMBERS (default) means a player only gets the colonies they own or are an officer or friend in. ALL gives every player every colony. OFF sends nothing.
- opsSeeAll: server operators get all colonies, even in MEMBERS mode (default: true).
- shareBuildings: set to false to send only the claimed area, name and centre, not the buildings.
- checkIntervalSeconds: how often the server checks for changes (default: 5).
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge
- MineColonies (and its dependencies)
- Xaero's World Map (on the client)
- Xaero's Minimap (optional)
Notes
- Only the normal minimap display is supported (not tested with the minimap's safe mode or the Fair Play edition).
- Tested with MineColonies 1.1.1403, Xaero's World Map 1.47.0 and Xaero's Minimap 26.6.0.
