Ability: Core
The shared foundation for the Tensura RPG pack's ability mods, defining how every ability is registered, activated and paid for, wherever it comes from.
Quick answer
Which Ability: Core release should I use?
Ability: Core v1.0.0 targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. No extra mods listed for this file.
Where it goes
Is Ability: Core required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Ability: Core v1.0.0 need?
v1.0.0. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
This file does not list any required mods. Do not add a library just because a different file uses it.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Ability: Core add?
Ability Core
Ability Core is the shared foundation of the Tensura RPG pack's ability mods. It defines how an ability is described, discovered, activated and paid for, independent of where the ability comes from.
What it does
(Design phase, no release yet. The open issues on this repository hold the full plan, research tables and open design decisions.)
- Ability contracts - registration, metadata, categories and identifiers for abilities supplied by other mods.
- Activation is a single request/result path for using an ability, with targeting context, cooldown and resource-cost hooks.
- Eligibility and restrictions - server-authoritative checks that an ability may be used at all, before anything is consumed.
- Synchronisation sends clients what they need to draw and use abilities, and nothing they are allowed to decide for themselves.
Dependencies
| Mod | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| Required | Minecraft / NeoForge | 1.21.1 / 21.1.259 |
Ability Core is a library. The pack's ability mods (the hotbar, the integrations, the battlewills) depend on it, not the other way round.
