About this project

What does Synaxis: Gearworks add?

Gearwork is a Sable-based mobility mod for Create-style contraptions, focused on wheels, tracks, landing gear, and other practical ground-contact mechanisms.

The goal of Gearwork is to make moving contraptions feel more physical, stable, and useful. Gearwork aims to provide configurable components that interact with mass, suspension, steering, traction, braking, and terrain contact in a more believable way.

The mod is built around the Sable physics engine and uses Synaxis as its compatibility and infrastructure layer, keeping low-level physics integration separated from gameplay-facing systems. This allows Gearwork to focus on clean vehicle components, good controls, and extensible mechanics for future ground vehicles, aircraft landing systems, and heavy machinery.

Gearwork is still in active development, so features, balance, and APIs may change over time.
