About this project

What does Fantasy Armor (Medieval Series) add?

Wear the impressive new armor with custom 3D models, craftable in survival!

Many sets are designed to match weapons from my other mod, Fantasy Weapons. I recommend using them together.

Each armor gives a unique set of effects and bonus characteristics to the player.

You can craft armor very easily if you have a netherite set. You will only need to make some Moon Crystals and combine them with your armor item. You can see the rest of the recipes by using JEI. If you use a modpack, it may change the recipes.

You can also dye each armor any color, just like leather armor. Now even more customization!

Warning: the mod is not compatible with Optifine.
Alternative: Oculus and Rubidium.

Requires GeckoLib. Fabric also requires Fabric API and Cloth Config. Choose dependencies matching your Minecraft version and loader.

Please let me know in the comments or create an issue on GitHub if you encounter any bugs.

Configuration v1.3+

Paths are relative to your Minecraft instance folder (the folder containing mods), or the dedicated server folder. Custom launchers may use a separate instance folder instead of .minecraft.

Loader Gameplay config location
Forge Singleplayer: saves/world/serverconfig/. Dedicated server: world/serverconfig/.
NeoForge through Minecraft 26.2 config/. A file with the same name in world/serverconfig/ overrides it for that world.
NeoForge on Minecraft 26.3 config/. A file with the same name in world/syncedconfig/ overrides it for that world.
Fabric config/.

Forge and NeoForge use these files in the gameplay config location above:

  • fantasy_armor-server.toml — enable or disable set effects, bonus modifiers and durability; configure effect particles, status-effect icons and the effect refresh threshold.
  • fantasy_armor-armor_attributes.toml — configure each armor piece's armor, toughness, knockback resistance, movement speed, maximum health, attack damage, attack speed, luck and durability.
  • fantasy_armor-armor_effects.toml — configure each set's full-set effects, including effect IDs, durations and levels.

Client visuals are configured separately in config/fantasy_armor-client.toml: armor descriptions, capes and the Epic Fight cape option.

Fabric uses:

  • config/fantasy_armor-common.json — general gameplay and visual options, including effects, bonus modifiers, durability, capes, descriptions and description line length in characters.
  • config/fantasy_armor-attributes.json — attributes and durability for each armor piece.
  • config/fantasy_armor-effects.json — full-set effects, durations and levels.

You are welcome to create modpacks, datapacks, resourcepacks for this mod and you can contact me if you need help. You can contact me via CF messages or on Discord (@kendd1e). Sometimes I don't have any free time at all for quite a while, so I'll reply as soon as I'm done with other things.

You are NOT allowed to create separate forks, reuploads or use the assets in any way without my written permission.
I feel it is necessary to repeat this here.
