Frontiers Classes

Frontier Classes replaces class-picking with a life path: your character is the sum of a story you tell at creation, and everything after that is learned through found knowledge, not an XP bar.

If you load a new world and the default RP Character Creator content shows up you'll have to copy and paste my config file content to overwrite it. 

Who You Are

Character creation, running through Yang's RP Character Creator, is a life story in seven chapters, answered one question at a time until you reach the point of surviving the crossing to a new land. It opens with twelve kin and every answer after becomes a named trait on your sheet ("Fleet-heeled," "Hound-kept," "Sea-beggared") with a small stat change shown as you choose. Gains are always paid for by drawbacks: creation carves a shape in to you, never free power. The story has teeth along the way such as a weapon specialization two-step (master one weapon, grow unpracticed with a family of others), deliberate flaws at life's hard beats, food tastes from the old world and the new, and the toll the crossing took on you. With 250 options across the chapters, two settlers rarely share a biography; your finished path reads on your character sheet and stands as the baseline under everything you later learn. An expanded appearance creator rounds it out: 109 skin tones, 36 hair colors, 24 eye colors, eight voices across four pitches, dozens of hair and beard styles, 19 expressions with antler and ear options when the matching cosmetic mods are installed.

Skill Books

Lost knowledge is the key to progression, 86 stat books cover every trainable statwith each printed in 25 leveled volumes. Each with rank names you can say out loud: Novice I–V → Adept → Expert → Master → Grandmaster I–V. Hold right-click for two seconds to study one: the volume is consumed and the stat set to its level. Its an enforced ladder with any first volume learnable with no requirement, but every volume above demands the rung below it, so an early Grandmaster tome is a goal to climb toward, not an instant jackpot. Books arrive sealed inside randomizer tomes (25 tiers, each rolling one random stat book of its level and dropping based on World Tier.
