About this project

What does Aldi's Classes [Races PATCH] add?

This is a PATCH that caters to another playstyle than the "main" idea:
Aldi's Classes

You NEED Aldi's Classes for this patch to do anything.

Also you NEED Racial Equality for this patch. Without this there wouldn't be these creatures! Do NOT install racial ABILITY.

And to wrap it up you NEED Player Model Lib for this to work!

from 2.0.0 onward the Seraph is removed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mod brings together the well-known fantasy races with my mod. Each race comes with its own strengths and weaknesses, following the classic fantasy archetypes in the spirit of Tolkien. For RP enthusiasts, there are detailed descriptions that highlight all traits (with a clear, plain-text summary provided below as well 😉). Races are restricted to certain classes to preserve immersion. The mod is fully compatible with all classes from Aldi’s Classes, and the vanilla classes are also integrated in a sensible and balanced way. Ultimately, I wanted to combine the classic fantasy races with my mod for my own purposes and balance them in my own way. I hope you enjoy it!

Maybe I will add more Player Models to this Patch in the future. Let me know which ones you want to see!

Please note that any other model mod (like humans or skeletons) that adds classes and traits natively is not compatible with my classes. Any other pure model mod just adds a model but no traits!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big thanks to Maltiez for Player Model Lib! Without this library nothing of this would be possible.

Obviously this is highly dependant on the funktionalities of PML and Racial Equality. Any bugs these two have will affect this patch mod.

Spoiler-free spoilers which include the race descriptions to guess what traits they could have:

Ork
Orks are powerful warriors with a massive appetite, and nothing satisfies them more than meat. Their rugged bodies crave heavy protein, and their simple, straightforward nature grants them strong mental stability. But when night falls, something primal stirs in their veins: a blood frenzy that sharpens their speed and fills their strikes with brutal force. Vegetables and grains, however, they disdain; such greenery is not, in their eyes, food fit for real fighters.
Dwarf
Dwarves feel most at home deep beneath the earth. They can linger in caves for hours without their temporal stability fading — as if the stone itself shields them. Water, however, is their great foe; their stout, heavy bodies make swimming a clumsy struggle. Yet their thick hide protects them well, softening blows that would wound others deeply. And when darkness surrounds them, their instincts sharpen. They move with surprising speed, and their strikes land with far greater force than one would expect from such a small folk.
Elf
Elves are masters of silent movement, gliding swiftly and gracefully through forests and ancient ruins. Even when moving backward, they stay agile, always keeping their prey - or their enemies - within sight without exposing themselves to danger. However, their delicate build makes them susceptible to cold, and even minor injuries affect them more than other folk. In return, they possess remarkable mental clarity. Elves prefer a light and natural diet, nourishing themselves mostly with fruits, vegetables, and grains.
Goblin
Goblins are nimble little troublemakers who can sprint with surprising speed. Their stomachs are small, but their habit of eating anything they come across has made their digestion extremely efficient. They take far more damage due to their frail build. In return, they deal impressive damage themselves, as their sneaky nature drives them to instinctively strike at weak points.
Human
Humans are true all-rounders, possessing no extreme strengths or weaknesses. They stand out only through slightly increased swimming speed and a higher tolerance for medicines, making them adaptable and dependable companions in any situation.

As always, this isn't playtested very much so feel free to give me feedback on balancing and other issues!
