About this project
What does AnyCoin Piggy Bank add?
The AnyCoin Piggy Bank is a lockable clay coin bank that holds one running balance of AnyCoin currency. Leave it open as a shared community pot, or add a lock to make it your private, key-protected stash.
Making one
Clay-form an Unfired Piggy Bank from blue, fire, or red clay (any type gives the same grey pig), then fire it like any clay vessel: sneak-place the unfired pig on the ground, cover it with dry grass, build a pit kiln of fuel over it, and light it. Once fired it's a finished bank — and it places facing you, so you can turn to set which way it looks.
Open (no lock)
Right-click holding coins to deposit them; right-click empty-handed to read the current balance. Anyone with land-claim use permission can deposit and check the total, which makes an unlocked bank a handy shared pot for a base or community.
Lock it (private)
Craft an AnyCoin Piggy Bank Lock from two copper ingots. Hold it, right-click the bank, and name it with /namepiggy [name]. That consumes the lock and drops an AnyCoin Piggy Bank Key, bound to that bank and labeled with your name. From then on, only someone carrying the matching key can deposit or see the balance — to everyone else it simply reads "Locked." The key only needs to be in your inventory, and there's one key per bank, so hand it over to transfer access.
Theft resistance
Locking reinforces the bank to strength 800 and blocks low-tier tools, so a would-be thief needs a tier-4 or better pickaxe and a lot of effort to crack it — while you can always break your own bank to get your coins back. Access also respects the land claim the bank sits on; the lock adds key-based privacy on top, even on a shared claim.
Getting your coins
Break the bank to cash out. It drops the full balance as coins, largest denominations first, removes any lock, and returns a plain piggy bank. Breaking is the only way to withdraw, so a lost key is never a disaster — just break the bank to recover everything.
Requires AnyCoin
This mod needs AnyCoin installed for its currency. If you want a heavier-duty option with an in-window deposit/withdraw panel and a public transaction ledger, check out its companion, the AnyCoin Bank Box.
