About this project
What does AnyCoin Bank Box add?
The AnyCoin Bank Box is a lockable iron coin vault that holds one running balance of AnyCoin currency. It's the heavy-duty option: a full deposit/withdraw panel, a public transaction ledger, and key-based privacy. Leave it open as a shared vault, or lock it down as your own.
Crafting
Craft the bank box on the grid from four iron plates in the corners and four iron ingots on the edges, around an empty center. It places facing you, so turn to set which way the door points.
The panel
Right-click holding coins to deposit that whole stack instantly. Right-click empty-handed to open the panel, which shows the balance, the last deposit and withdrawal, and your own running totals on this box. From there you can:
- Deposit a set amount, pulled from your inventory largest coins first.
- Withdraw a set amount, dropped in front of the box.
Both actions ask you to confirm first, showing exactly how much will actually move — so there are no surprises when your inventory can't make the precise amount.
Public ledger
A Ledger button opens a read-only window anyone can view: recent transactions (who put in or took out, and when) plus every player's lifetime totals on that box. Handy for shared vaults where the group wants the books kept honest.
Lock it (private)
Craft an AnyCoin Bank Box Lock from two iron ingots. Hold it, right-click the box, and name it with /namebankbox [name]. That consumes the lock and drops an AnyCoin Bank Box Key, bound to that box and labeled with your name. From then on, only someone carrying the matching key can deposit, withdraw, or see the balance — to everyone else it reads "Locked." The key only needs to be in your inventory, and there's one key per box, so hand it over to transfer access.
Theft resistance
Locking reinforces the box to strength 800 and blocks low-tier tools, so a would-be thief needs a tier-4 or better pickaxe and a lot of effort to break in — while you can always break your own box to get your coins back. Access also respects the land claim the box sits on; the lock adds key-based privacy on top, even on a shared claim.
Getting your coins
Withdraw any amount from the panel and the coins drop in front of the box, largest denominations first. Or break the box to empty it all at once: it drops the full balance, removes any lock, and returns a plain bank box. Because you can always break your own box to recover everything, a lost key is never a disaster.
Requires AnyCoin
This mod needs AnyCoin installed for its currency. For a simpler, earlier-game bank without the panel or ledger, check out its companion, the AnyCoin Piggy Bank — a lockable clay coin bank you fire in a pit kiln.
