About this project
Cards: The main draw of this mod is of course the cards that can be placed and rotated by players, with what the card does being visible in the item description. Additionally, these cards can be rotated to represent them attacking or becoming tapped.
Drops: The easiest way to obtain cards is by killing mobs, with several of the dropping cards. Such mobs include rats, wolves, cows, bears, spiders, etc. Basic land cards can also be found in ancient crates/barrels.
Card Packs: Card packs can contain any card in the game, once you have one place it on the ground and break it. These packs can be obtained from ancient crates/barrels, killing golems, and killing undead spellcasters.
Archeology: One of the main themes on the first plane of the trading card game was archeology so it became incorporated into the mod. Players can craft an archeology table which is used to craft sediment from various materials. When sediment is broken with the brush it drops various items. When ancient sediment is broken it drops things pertaining to the mod such as ancient fragments, powerstones, and recipes.
Arcane Bench: The arcane bench can be upgraded to give the player access to various machines with the following being among them;
Thran Portal: Gives players a special teleporter that doesn’t count against the world limit.
Sol Ring: Recharges worn powerstones
Mana Vault: Breaks down powerstone into essence
Mightstone: Heals targets
Weakstone: Weakens targets
Disrupting Scepter: A staff that consumes powerstone shards.
Essence: A new essence known as light essence has been added, as well as a greater version of each essence, like the one that exists with the greater life essence. Additionally, there are new crafting recipes for essence in the arcane workbench.
Crafting: During the late game certain cards can be crafted rather than relying on opening them in packs. However, this is resource intensive and requires a lot of memories. This can be done at the card bench which has several tiers. Some of these recipes require a voidstone and a pearl. The pearl can be obtained by breaking seashells and the voidstone is now dropped by certain mobs and the lamp found via archeology.
Salvaging: If you find you have too many cards you can salvage them in order to get the corresponding essence.
