🌊 Hybrid Aquatic Compatibility Returns to Starcatcher!

Starcatcher V3 introduced major changes to its fishing and difficulty systems, which meant older Hybrid Aquatic compatibility was no longer available.

This addon is built specifically to reconnect the two mods for Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge.

Instead of simply making the fish obtainable, the goal is to make Hybrid Aquatic feel like it naturally belongs inside Starcatcher.

♒ Give Your Best Catches a Proper Home

Your catches don’t have to stay hidden in an inventory.

Every Hybrid Aquatic fish can be displayed through Starcatcher’s aquarium system, including custom-made animations for each fish.

But the compatibility goes beyond just displaying fish.

This addon also adds support for Hybrid Aquatic corals inside Starcatcher aquariums, along with custom aquarium substrates, letting you decorate your tanks with blocks and materials that better match Hybrid Aquatic’s underwater style.

That means you can build aquariums that feel much closer to real Hybrid Aquatic habitats — whether you want to show off your rarest catches, your biggest specimens, or just create a beautiful custom tank.

Collectors can also hunt for Golden Hybrid Aquatic fish through Starcatcher’s golden fish system.

Updates:

🪝0.3 — Hooked Up

Hybrid Aquatic hooks now work with Starcatcher fishing rods, including support for the original effects of the Barbed, Glowing, Magnetic, Creeper Magnet, and Ominous Hooks.

Karkinos also gets a custom Starcatcher boss-style fishing encounter when caught using the Ominous Hook.

🌊0.4 — TIDEying Up

Added optional Tide 2 compatibility that removes duplicate Tide fish from Starcatcher in favor of the Hybrid Aquatic versions.

TIDEying Up can be enabled or disabled through the mod’s config menu, and currently affects Tuna, Mahi-mahi, Mackerel, Coelacanth, and Carp.
