What does Slate UI add?

Slate UI

Beta. An early build of Slate: expect bugs, you can report them on the Discord.

Slate UI rebuilds Minecraft's menus in two layouts: Custom, flat screens, and Overhaul, scenes of real blocks with a camera that moves. It covers the title screen, worlds and servers, pause, death, loading, statistics, the creative inventory and the player list.

Main menu

  • Three open chests under the logo: Profile, Play and Options in their lids, Friends, Continue and Quit on the signs in front.
  • The arrows in the corner change the scene. Builds by Dominic_de_Vos & team, kescha, Mafia, Cloudax & Laoevpes, IsiAurinkoinen and ForgiaDeiBuilder, and with Create three from createmod.com by Joea42, Uberswe and Icyknightgaming.

Worlds and servers

  • Overhaul: worlds and servers as cube planets on a ring, the chosen one in front with its details.
  • Custom: world cards or a list with search, stars and tags; servers with live pings, groups and quick connect.
  • A screenshots gallery with a viewer, and Share to friends with Slate Multiplayer.

Pause, death and loading

  • The pause menu keeps the world in view, with you standing on the ground under your feet.
  • Loading scenes: a Create factory or a floating island while the game starts, and the land rising as a world opens.
  • A clock on the loading screen, and a toast with how long the start took.

In the game

  • The Tab list, the F3 screen and the statistics rebuilt, and an info overlay to switch on.
  • 3D maps of Xaero's World Map or JourneyMap, under Options > Gameplay > Maps.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge or Fabric, Java 21) and 1.20.1 (Forge or Fabric, Java 17); on Fabric with Fabric API. Needs Slate Core. Client only. Optional: Create, Xaero's maps or JourneyMap (3D maps) and Slate Config. A menu laid out by FancyMenu keeps FancyMenu's layout.
